If there is a kit out ther that takes the top radius arm and connects it to the bottom radius arm (with an adjustment inline for caster), and also make the bottom arm longer..I bet these trucks would glide.
There are a couple kits out there that do this exact thing.

Well they jacked up the price again. They called and said freight will be $75 just for the steering gear. With the pitman they want $109 freight.

$34 more to ship the pitman arm? It isn't that big, nor does it weigh that much. My pitman arm just came UPS today. The demand for this steering setup must be tremendous. “Supply and demand” they say.

I stopped by the local Dodge dealer and talked about the TSB with the service dept. They printed it and showed it to me. They can put it under my service contract, but there's nothing in the TSB about the new setup- only tie rod ends and steering damper, as BroncoHound stated in post #16.

Does anyone work in or for a service department who knows about all this, or can anyone recommend the one who did their truck? I'd like let my service writer talk to a service manager to see how they went about it with Chrysler. I suppose I could buy the parts, but the labor wouldn't be covered to replace the whole setup because it isn't in the TSB.

Those of you guys who have had it done, how are your dealers getting it covered by Chrysler?

dodgeparts says they no longer have the kit without the stabilizer.

Their price is $222 for the kit with stabilizer (AE kit) + shipping.

more pitman arm?

Anybody installed the new linkage on a lifted truck? Trying to figure out if I need the new pitman arm with an extra 3in lift in the front. Seems like under full compression the drag link stud and linkage would be at the same position as a non-lifted truck, possibly still hitting? Could you just cut a little off the bottom of the stud?

Anyone know if the updated pitman arm will work with my current DSS gear bace?

from what i've seen the pitman arm just changes the angle at the end that connects to the drag link. it doesn't change anything at the end that connects to the steering box so any aftermarket sector shaft stabilizers shouldn't be affected. i'll let you know once my kit comes in for sure though, because i have an SSSSS.
