What's the deal with the under hood light?? Is it an option now?? What the crap??
When i was checking the fuses for another issue i saw that there was a fuse for the light, but no light....
I miss the ol "Refrigerator" light under the hood....
sorry just venting.....

Yeah, there is a 'light group' package... do you have a light in your ashtray? Over your cup holders?
All the better reason the run some LED's under there... I think that LazarSmith has a kit for that...

Yup, part of the 'light package". I don't have one either which also means no cupholder light, no glove box light, no lights by the mirrors on the visors...
You can add them, the underhood one is easy, the plug's on the firewall.

Dodge definately "cheaped" out and didn't add any underhood lights. Geesh.
I haven't got a set yet, but I have seen them. Mike at Lazarsmith has a nice kit. They will light up your engine compartment better than the Sun!

When I bought my 03, the early 3rd gens didn't have the light as an option (even on the Laramie), and it didn't have an under-hood pad.
When those parts came out, I ordered the light, harness, hood pad, and clips that hold it. The early 03's also didn't have the provision on the main harness for the hood light.
Anyway, the price for the factory piece wasn't that bad. I might even have the part numbers somewhere if you need them.

That's just the underhod parts
Lazarsmiths are just head;ight bulbs bolted to the hood and I'm not sure if you can use them if your hood has the insulation. Seem a little pricey.
