I have heard that you can put some liquid fertilizer in your tank 29-3-4. mixed with some MMO, a dash of window wash fluid, a little ATF, and it will really be good for your engines fuel system.
sorry couldnt resist.

I have no idea, but i hear its great in your diesel engine
MMO can be substituted with a tube of tooth paste, Ya the sodium floride in it helps delay the decay of the injecter nozzles.
Thanks for not getting mad at me.
Just trying to lighten it up a little.

I dont think im going to try my additive. Sounds a little scary. I dont think wal mart would market it for me.
I wouldnt put anything that said "Sams Choice" into my engine or fuel tank.

I used 2 Cycle in just about every tankful (8-12 ounces per 35 gallons or so) for the last 150,000 miles on my 2004 Cummins.
Sold the truck with 176,000 miles on it and never had any lift pump/injector pump issues at all.
I used MMO every once in a while also...................
To those of you that are still using MMO, read the label!!!!!I think it says "Not For Use With the New ULSD", or something like that. Don't know when they're (MMO) going to upgrade their formula for this new ULSD. Anybody else heard when they will upgrade?

Sorry to be joining the post so late.... I run 2 stroke oil in my 2nd gen too. Before and now that I do, I have talked with several "old timers" who have been around diesels almost since their creation. They used to run 2 stroke oil in the older diesels all the time for the same reasons we are, lubricity and reduce wear and tear. Some of the ole oil burners they talked about, I know for a fact are STILL running. I'm going to continue adding half a quart or so of 2 stroke along with my additive to every tank and squeeze all the miles I can outta her.

stock03, do a search on burning waste oil (not veg oil, burnt oil), I remember reading some threads about it and there are some things in there you need to try to filter out before dumping it in your tank. LCH
i would seriously think about filtering this oil stringently before dumping it in the fuel tank.
I just changed the oil...but It's not going in my tank. I thought the same thing about filtering it when I drained it into an old and dirty oil pan.
Thanks for the advice. I'll research more and filter the heck out of it before I use it.
Thanks guys!

does anybody know what they are saying when they say MMO not to be used with ULSD. Is this because of formulation or because, like Cummins said, it will no longer be legal to put oil in fuel starting 2007.
