Truck Wouldn't Start

Ok guys, help me out here.

This morning was like any other morning, except that it was wet on the ground from the rain last night. Go outside, put my stuff in the truck and go to start it and nothing. Everything came on, radio, radar detector, blower fan, etc., but it wouldn't crank. The truck only has 3800 miles, so needless to say I wasn't happy. Well I finally got ready to give up and call someone, and when I opened my door to get out I decided to give it one last try and sure enough it fired up. The only difference was that the drivers side door was open. I don't know what was going on, but I don't think something is right.

I'm not sure what is going on, but if you guys maybe know something that I don't about 2007's please feel free to fill me in on it. Otherwise, I have a feeling a trip to the dealer may be in order.

Exactly! I went to the dealer to get my driverside control panel replaced and told them about it. They had no idea what I was talking about and said that since it hasn't done it but just that once, just keep driving it and call them if it happens again. I did not like that answer!

I have heard of an issue where on the starter there is a yellow wire that sometimes grounds out and will cause this if you look on the drivers side front fender well you can see it . Just make sure its not rubbing. worth a shot....

Make sure you're completely in PARK, the 05's have an 'out of park' issue that a TSB was created for. Not sure if it applies to 07.

Got me once, all electrical was fine, just no crank, AAA guy took it from park to neutral and back and it fired right up....last time that happened.

Yeah I tried that too and it didn't work. This is my first automatic diesel and I thought it might not see the fact that it was in park so I went to neutral and still nothing. Either way I don't think that was the issue. I think I went through all the gears at least like four or five times to no avail.

I appreciate everyone's input. My only thing is that I don't want to get stranded where it won't start at all!!

I posted a thread a little while back cause my buddies truck did the same thing. The dealer found nothing cause it threw no codes. I found out about the yellow wire on the starter causing this, and we moved the wire around and the truck started right up and no issues since.

Good to know. I haven't checked that yellow wire yet as I haven't had time since I found out, but I definately will.
