I went into the bank today, came back out to start my truck and nothing... I could here a relay clicking but not the starter solenoid. I went and bought a brand new started and put it in and still the same thing. i tightened up all the terminals and still nothing, swapped out the starter relay with another and nothing. I ended up hooking up a lead to the starter ign. stud and started it up that way. Weird i thought... as i was driving home i had no heater fan and my windows didn't roll down as well. hmmm. Any good suggestions for me??? I thought it might be the sensor that tells if its in park or neutral??? But then why did i lose my heater and windows?

I am not sure on dodges but on older chevys sometime the ingnition switch down on the column can go bad. Or maybe a relay or fuse or something?

Try that as an option, engine control fuse? both in the powerpack under your hood... I would look under the powerpack see if any are blown, HOWEVER some of them u cannot tell, but its worth a look.. best of luck..

Sounds like the key switch or blown fuse. Not sure on a '96 but on a '95 the switch is only $32 from Napa. Replacement is easy but there are some tricks, suggest you have a service manual.
