I have the 285/70 Toyo Open Country AT's and I love em. Got them siped when new and never looked back. At 32.7 inches tall they look perfect on these trucks IMHO. With the 3.73 truck pulls 2000 RPM at 78 MPH.

BFG's are made in America? I thought they quit manufacutering in the US when the French bought them.

They have a plant in Indiana, my Brother-in-law works there. Don't know of other locations.

Cool

I too have the Hankook ATm/2 in a LT295/75/R17 paid 835.00 for 5 tires last year.Have about 10,000 miles on them nice tire great tire load size's actually more than the Michelin stock.Toyo were way to expensive at almost 300.00 dallors a tire.I just can't see paying more for a tire that get's less wear, less warrenty and cost more to replace.

I decided on the Hankook Dynapro rf10 in the 285/70/17. They look better than the stock tires. So far so good. The only thing I don't, is when they balanced the tires they had to add a lot of weights.

Another vote for the Toyo Open Country M/T's.. I had the A/T's and they did great and I got 45k out of them. The M/T's are 'E' rated and have a greater capacity than the AT's.

My last set of D-rated 285/70/17 BFGs lasted 58,000 miles at 65psi and with 7,500 miles rotations. Here is a pic at 56,000 miles:

These were replaced with E-rated 305/65/17 BFG AT KOs. I just rotated them for the second time at 15,000 miles and they are showing very little tread wear. The BFG AT KOs work great aired-down on the beach and the snow performance is incredible.

Yes.... I saw them on a website today. Look like nice tires.

I thought it was 295/70/17 or 285/75/17.
Or maybe I'm wrong?

After having my Hankook tires on for 8 month's, I'm getting them changed out. From the 5 times I've had to have them balanced, and had them road forced balanced, to replacing 2 out of round tire in 2 weeks time. I still have a very bad vibration. Took truck to the dealer, and they tell me nothing is wrong with your truck, it is your tires!!! So instead of keep playing games with these tires I'm having discount tire swap them out for a different brand, thinking about the Bridgestone Revos 2 a/t.

My truck is a 2wd highway queen and I have been using the Firestone Transforce HT and couldn't be happier. I'm getting about 65k out of them with regular rotations. HTH
