Trans Temp Gauge for Manual

Hello all - well, I'm finally hooking up some gauges (boost, EGT, and Fuel Pressure). I'm also putting in a FastCooler from Geno's.

Question - I'm not sure that I need a transmission gauge (I have a 6 sp), but it would be easy to do at the same time I do the FastCooler and would give me some piece of mind. Would the transmission temperature even get to a point during normal operation (unloaded) that it would show on the gauge?

I too didn't think that I would need a trans temp gauge, but now that I have one I don't think I'd have a truck without one. Its just another "toy" to watch while driving.

I agree, no need for a tranny temp guage on a manual tranny.

I am putting in one when I install my Fast Coolers, it may be another thing to look at and to some extent not necessary, but in my old truck with a standard tranny I had one, it did reflect some temp changes that were noticable just before I had tranny issues. For the few bucks it costs to have the gauge, why not?
