Tires & Rims for SRW3500
Tires & Rims for SRW3500
If I decide to go with the SRW3500 over the dually, what is the best aftermarket tire/ wheel combination as far as size. My truck that I'm presently selling is a 2002 F250 crewcab shortbed with 33X12.50/16.5 BFG's on 16.5X9.75 rims. I like that wide look for the summer. I know they have a different lug pattern but will 33's of 35's fit on a SRW3500 on 10" wide rimes without a liftkit?

Hedgehog,
The H2 wheels and 315's have been discussed here many times. They are the perfect offset and width for the 3rd gen Dodges. They have to have the center hole opened up a bit to clear the hub, but the price is right and many of us really like them. I've had mine on for about 30,000 miles now. They still have a lot of tread and I haven't had to re-balance them The BFG 315's are slightly louder than stock, are very smoth on the highway, and have great traction.
The stock wheels are slightly narrow for the 315's and some people report rubbing on the control arms because of too much back spacing. I don't think you can put a 10" wheel on the front of a 3rd gen without a lift kit.
The 3rd gen's require 17" or bigger wheels to clear the brakes.
