tire time

Ok, i've been running 315 BFGs and love them on my stock wheels. Problem is, its about time to change them, and the bank account is hurting too much to pay for the BFGs. Anyone have suggestions on tires that are similar and a bit easier on the wallet? Or, have some cheap BFGs I can buy?

Thanks, i'm on 17s, so the 35x12.50R17 are still $300/tire. How do they feel/perform?

The Toyos are probably the most expensive tire on the market right now. My 295/70/17s are a couple sizes smaller than what he wants. The 295s were $1600. I'll bet the 315s are close to $2000 now.

Try searching your local craigslist. You should be able to find a set of Hummer H2 takeoffs for $300-700, maybe even with rims included. If you've always wanted H2 wheels then go with them. If not, sell them and recoup some of your money. There are about 4 sets of those in the San Antonio craigslist right now. If i ever need an interim set of ~35" tires quick and cheap, that would be the first place i'd look.

Cooper Discoverer S/T's use to be cheaper than the BFG's. They would be my preference over the BFG as they perform better and have a deeper and wider tread but they are not a mud terrain. I have run many sets and it is my favorite tire.
