Is there a vacuum on the 2004?
I have an old Airstream trailer that uses a vacuum line from the tow vehicle for the trailer's hydraulic disc brakes. On my previous truck (non-diesel), I tapped into an intake manifold vacuum port and ran a vacuum line back to the trailer, which worked just fine.
Before I purchased my current truck last week I was told that there is no vacuum on diesels so I planned to just look for a vacuum pump from another vehicle in the local junk yard and installing that on the trailer. Before I did I thought I'd check here just in case.
So is there some vacuum line in the truck that I can "T" into? I haven't been able to pick up a service manual yet so I don't have anyway of looking this up myself.
My truck is the 2004 SO engine (250HP).
Thanks

I don't believe there is a vacuum pump on your truck unless you happen to have a jacobs exhaust brake installed. I installed a vacuum pump with my jacobs kit.
