Stock Speaker Upgrade help

I have a quad cab dodge that im wanting to upgrade the stock speakers in. I dont have the upgraded sound system. I dont wanna mess with a amp or subs at this moment. Im going to by a different head unit at the end of the month.
Im wanting to go with Kicker speakers.
Here is the questions.

1. Do I have speakers in the dash?
2. Will this work for the rear, http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...607DS60&tp=105 ???
3. Will this work also for the front?
http://www.moparsupercenter.com/77kick06.html?cat=103
Thank you for all the help.

1. the trucks with the infinity system have speakers in the dash.
2. yes. 6 1/2 fit perfectly in the rear doors.
3. yes, 6x9's go in the front.

ensure you get the connector adapters that connect your dodge wiring to the aftermarket speakers. prevents you from having to cut and splice into your trucks harness.
crutchfield used to supply them with speaker sets you bought from them, but its been a few years...

yes, they'll still supply you w/the connectors.
Don't skimp on the quality and don't get blapunkt

go w/the component polk audio and you won't regret it. throw a 4-channel amp in there also and you'll love it.

New speaker installation

I recently upgraded the speakers in my truck to infinity kappa. I had the basic audio system to begin with so I did not have speakers in the dash, however, I fabricated some flat fiberglass panels with one inch tweeters to place in the holes in the dash. To put the 6x9s in the front doors I had to trim some of the metal from the doors to get them to fit properly. The back door 6-1/2s fit perfectly with adapters.

Ooops, I forgot to mention

Yes, You will have to run wires to the speakers in the dash if they were no already there, but it is a very short distance and well worth the effort. I originally did not install dash speakers and the system sounded good but was maybe missing something. I installed the dash speakers and wires and the system sounds awesome. I also run a 40x4 (rms) alpine amp wich made a big difference as well even though it is not putting out huge wattage, still higher than the rms of my head unit.
