Steering still not right. Need help?!?!?

Hey. Anyways, I used to get really bad bump steer when going over bumps. I also knew that my ball joints were toast so I figure I would do some upgrading.

I installed Moog upper, and lower ball joints. The uppers are the adjustable ones, which the Dodge dealer did the alignment on.

I installed the new steering upgrade, with dampener. Now, The Dodge dealer looked like they adjusted the sleeve for the tie rod to pitman arm, but doesn't look like the touched the sleeve from tie rod to tie rod.

I also did new Precision axle u-joints.

Anyways, the steering on the truck just feels "loose" that's really the best to describe it.

I have a 6" standard BDS lift with 37" tires, but the truck seems to want to steer all over the road to tell you the truth. I am constantly fighting the steering wheel to keep the truck straight.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Chris

Tires that big will tend to steer the truck. Even my BFG 315s steered the truck a lot.

You also need to fix the track bar by replacing it or installing new bushings. Then adjust the steering gear and increase the caster with the excentrics on the control arms. Run it to the max. If you don't yet have the '08 steering linkage get it. You mentioned the steering upgrade and that is probably what you meant. It's a must.

At that point whatever steering problem the tires are causing is just the cost of having those tires.

your steering box could be junk or maybe you need a track bar? bigger tires suck sometimes but they look sweet
