Steering shaft loose, $900 for a factory replacement!!!

My steering is starting to drive me nuts! I poked my head under the hood, grabbed the upper part of the steering shaft and gave it almost a quater turn before the lower half moved. Called the dealer and the "new" updated part is $900!!!

Anyone know if Borgsen has worked out the kinks in their replacment shaft yet?

Any other options?

Geno's has the Borgsen. Two different versions around $200 + for one and $300 + for the other. I remember reading somewhere that there was a length issue, if you didn't get the exact part. Otherwise don't know.
