Question steel wheels or aluminum on duelly

do the aluminum wheels look good enough on the new 2004.5 duellys to warrant the up-grade? Will be ordering new 3500 DW truck soon--and just wanted your take-as I have not seen either. thank, Rocky in KC

I'm pretty sure you can only get the steel ones with duals. The aluminum 20" wheels are not rated for the weight. I have been searching for 17" aluminum duals and have not yet found them. I read a post about upgrading to 19.5" but have not found any of those either.
Good luck.

They are steel with caps.

But everyone that sees mine would swear that they are alum.

Plus the chrome caps are much easier to keep clean and looking good then what alum is.

What about for SRW applications, any good reason to upgrade to Al? Or stay with steel?

You can get those cheap at the dealer. To buy them after is around $140. Good luck (I bought without and now have to retrofit).

There is some weight savings with the al over steel. Less rotating mass.
