Space for QuickAir2 under hood?
Space for QuickAir2 under hood?
I bought a QuickAir2 compressor, the style thats bolts in the engine bay, with out checking out where I would put it first. Not to smart
The unit is about 14" long and 8" wide and sits up about 8", for the life of me I can't see a place to put it under the hood.
One thought I had was to get an after market air intake system, the style that curves the air filter back towards the firewall. That would free up the area now occupied by the stock airbox...
I was wondering if there are any other spots I could locate it other than the engine compartment?
Thanks

Re:Space for QuickAir2 under hood?
Me thinks me hears an inbed tool box calling one air compressor "Come back here and join me - - I will take good care of you".

Seriously, I have seen small generators mounting in a tool box - - they cut out breathing holes and installed metal mesh for cooling and it was a permanent mount.

fiverbob,
Not a bad idea, but this truck is for hauling a slide in camper, so the tool box is out.
I'm wodering "under" the bed someplace might be the answer, but how would I keep it from getting screwed up from the elements?
