Another one of lifes problems.... Too many stupid people, and not enough to shoot them!!

Listen, Im from NY, would you Texan's mind, if I trailer a few of these idiots from NY to Texas, and let you's have a free for all??

Everybody is telling me to put some weight in a trailer, and run my truck hard and clean my injectors, I figured this would be a perfect opportunity.

hmmm Maybe the gas filler door, should be hooked up to the factory alarm? Just another channel and a small pin switch, but have it armed with a TAZER behind the door, 50KV below the belt will get their attention!

Being that I spent abotu $110 on fuel yesterday, I think I need to go to the dealer and invest in a locking gas cap myself.. haven't been a victim yet, but Ive got a few diesel owners near me, and I don't trust anyone.

Sorry to hear bout your bad luck there. when i bought my truck i added a locking billet door but after the salty winter months, th elock was junk so i switched to a regular door and locking cap. It wont stop the die hard theives but it will stop idiots. also prevents vandalism by keeping foreign material out of my tank as well!

Lord have mercy on the poor soul that tries to siphon my tank cause I sure as heck won't. By the time I'm done with the poor guy/girl (got to be fair these days so as not to upset the PC's ) the cops won't have anything left to arrest.

I always thought Texas knows how to treat criminals. I think New Orleans residents need to use some Texas justice. Just shoot those low life bastards!

The LA Governor gave 'shoot to kill' orders to law enforcement/military to shoot looters.

Texas is great..."Not only do they use the death penalty, they put in an express lane."- Ron White.

I had an old 76' F-250 that I used as my wheelin truck sitting in front of my house, and some little SOB came a stole my stinkin gas out of it. I decided to drive it to work one morning, jumped in fired her up and got about a block away from my house and it died. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the deal was because I had JUST filled up the night before ( gas gauge didn't work............what can I say it was a FORD ). So I pushed her back to my house and went and bought a new fuel pump and filter and all that crap just to find out some little Jerk drained my tank.......................Peeved ME OFF

Maybe if you saw someone under your truck and it seemed to be getting little dark, you could throw them a lit match to help them see what they are doing. I am sure insurance would cover any damages that resulted from tryng to help someone out.

My remote ranch is 80 miles to the nearest town and borders the National Wildnerness surrounded by rugged desert mountain and canyon country. Sheriff and Border Patrol are 75 miles away.

Last week, I was awakened at 4:30 AM by an illegal alien who came in out of the wilderness and was going through my things on the patio. He left his backpack 2 feet from the bedroom window. The truck was 10 feet from the patio and front door and that would have been next.

In Tucson, they are ripping off trucks right and left in the big box lots, especially our Rams. Beware!

I have seen so many cases of siphoning fuel that I know that will be my next buy. Even though I live on a Navy Base, you can't be too careful. I know there are a lot of diesel's on base so who know if I could be next.

I bought mine from the dealer a few years ago. It's made from high-impact plastic and works pretty well although I now would buy an steel aftermarket one if I needed another one.

A good thing to do is spray a little 3 in 1 oil into the keyhole of the cap when you first get it.

Even though the cap is covered by the outer metal door it still gets covered by rain and road spray/salt which gets into the keyhole and can cause the lock to seize up so even the key won't unlock it.

When it happened to me I had to bang it a few times to loosen it up, then I lubed it up and it's worked fine since.

I was afraid I was going to smash it off with a sledge because I was way low on fuel.

Hell, you can also chase someone down leaving your property with your property and shoot them if that's what it takes to get your property back. Even if it takes you 3 miles to catch them.
Be warned...if you try this you better have loads of money to dump into an attorney. Even if you don't get any criminal charges, you'll likely get a civil suit from the thief's family.

By the way, I ordered my locking cap from Geno's yesterday. I got an e-mail from them today saying it was on backorder.
