Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

If You Have A Diesel And Have Ordered The Snow Plow Prep Option Which Includes 160 amp Alternator You Should Check
In Fact You Have The 160 Amp Unit., Mine Came With Stock 136amp Unit And I Have Made DaimlerChryler Aware Of It, Dealer Says Their Is No Part Number For 160amp Unit for the Diesel But My Invoice Says 85.00 Charge For it. I Have A feeling Their Might Be a Problem At The Factory....

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

I will be majorly Ticked Off if it comes with a 136A. I had originally wanted the 6spd, but couldnt get it because the plow prep group didnt come with it. The only part that would have been missing was the 160A alternator.

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

Did you have the meeting with the local rep?? What did they offer you. If you are that mad about the fact that they do not have the alt on there. That is reason for by-back. If they sold you something that is not present on the vehicle and can not work on the vehicle. Its by-back time, give them hell. Let me know what happens. I am just as tired of Daimler and there products and the fact that everytime I bring my truck in for service I have to bring it back because they have no parts.
they wonder why I trash them on there surveys that they send me..

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

Look a little closer at the statement that reads.
160 amp alt and 750 amp battery (as in one) this leads me to think that it is for the GAS motored trucks ONLY.
AS diesel have twins and the 136 is more than enough.
Danny
