Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"
First off, The 160 amp alternator was an important option for me ; If you followed all my attachments to this thread you'll see where I have shown that that DaimlerChrysler has led everyone to believe that you will be getting the 160amp alternator with snow plow prep group with diesel engine and to this day dealers are still quoting this 160amp alternator is availble with diesel(see previous attachement). Last Friday I e-mailed DaimlerChrysler district manager for my area with my concerns about this issue as per directions from my local dealer as of yet I have not received a response. My request to DaimlerChrysler will be very simple, If DaimlerChrysler cannot supply me with 160 a alternator that I paid for I would request reimbursement of $85 plus interest for myself and everyone else who was effected by this.

When you boil this hole issue down it really just becomes an ethical issue, you just drop close to $40,000 on a new vehicle ,you like to think the company you just gave it to has treated fairly and given you what they said they would,Seems kinda simple to me.......
85 dollars plus go***** interest??????? Come on...what's that 84 more cents????? have followed all of your posts. There is a glitch in the ordering system. You think you got skimmed for 85 bucks.Maybe 10 is for the alt and 75 is for the front springs. Be happy you don't have a Powerstroke. You'd be out alot more than 85 bucks......You just gotta relax, man.....Life's too short for the little sh*t. I've plowed more snow than I care to remember. Never had a beefed up alt. Never had electrical problems either. Oh and C5r, yes you should have bought a tractor to plow one driveway. I have one for sale (John Deere) if you are intersted and it is set up to move alot of snow per hour, much more than any one ton truck ever would. For half the money. FWIW
Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

If You Check, The Diesel Already Has The HeavyDuity Front springs Included .... The Issue ( If You Read All The attachments) Is The alternator Or Lack Of It And How Dealers And Dodge Offical Site Says You Would Be getting it (see attached , this is a current screen dump , so as of today thay are still advertising that you will get 160 amp alt. with diesel) . Oh and The Intrest Im Asking for.... I Stopped Giving intrest free loans out years ago!!

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

I know a little bit about the springs myself, heres what I do.
If you want the heaver spring Pkg without getting the snowplow pkg or if theres a truck on the lot without.
I take the 39kg/mm out move the 46kg/mm from the other side
and install a 54kg/mm and you have a truck that sits 1/2" higher and doesn`t bounce or I should say porpous when trailering.
Danny

Dear Tom,

Thanks for the email.

I have reviewed your file regarding this matter. It appears as if your
selling dealership is trying to coordinate a meeting with you and their
factory rep. Unfortunately, the factory rep does not work out of this
office. I would suggest that you contact the sales or service manager
directly to schedule an appointment.

There is nothing further that we can do from this office regarding your
issue.

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

It seems that the "snow plow prep" group comes only in automatic, which is why I personally won't even bother looking at it. And with the loss of the 160 amp alternator, all we are getting is ... a skid plate? That comes in the protection group anyway.

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

My Dearler or Dodge Has not stated that their is a upgrade charge For Front springs or even if their was one for diiesel, I Have not Seen any documation that so states that their is a 85.00 charge for front springs for 2003 diesel and snow plow prep group, My 1997 truck (window sticker attached) whos window sticker clearly shows what is included in snow plow prep group for that year does mention front springs .....but my 2003 window sticker shown in past posting to this thread does not , the documation for 2003 clearley shows 160amp alt , skid plate , 750amp bat which is shown clearley in my past posting in this thread.... If You Have documation that shows a 85.00 charge for front springs for 2003 with snow plow prep group please attach it to this thread ..... thank u

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

we had just checked the spring tags and the plow prep had different # therefore different springs. Dunno if DC charges more for beefier springs or not. Was speculating. Maybe they charge 85.00 because they like to pi*s people like u off. It's working.... Get ready DC your gonna get backcharged for all fifty people with plow prep. (again speculating) Gonna hurt their bottom line..... oh yeah interest too!!!!! :
MY .02 ONLY.*

*to be read by people with a sense of humour only. All others disregard this post.

Re:Snow Plow Prep Group .... "Warning"

Well i do has a since of humor and no i'm not Pi....d off about this matter, all I'm asking of Dodge is do the right thing to me and any other person so effected by this Problem and make it right, and to inform future buyer what they are getting in snow plow prep group and Diesel Engine option, I have attached current 03-14-2003 screen shot of dodge web site showing they are still offering 160amp alt. with Diesel engine option .... We all Know thats wrong, Why are they still offering it ?????? . I Also Feel That Dodge Has The Best Truck Offered for 2003, Bar None.

The key word is Ethics !!!
