Montana doesn't require smog checks on diesels. Who knows, maybe some day they will but it'll probably be the last state in the nation to do so.

They don't know what a smog check is in Montana not even on gas rigs. The population of the whole state is around 700K.

Montana is a pretty good state to live in other than the cold winters. I just received my new truck yesterday after waiting 12 weeks for it to arrive. No sales tax saved me a fair amount of mony.

Yeah, I hear ya. The lack of a sales tax is nice but I don't like state income tax. You do have to admit though, we haven't had a cold winter for a long time. At least not like we used to get 20 years ago.

CA Smog Test

CA Smog test for diesels is on the way!
BIL has a test only shop, says the State is
"gearing up". Next year?
It's EZ revenue for the State/s - under the guise
of "clean air"!

Apparently AZ already is testing(?) inc'l class 7/8 diesel.
