Removing muffler void warr.

Here in Ohio they lifted the emisions testing on all cars and trucks and I would like to remove the muffler. Question is does this viod the DC factory warranty?

I would like to remove it but I don't want to loose the warranty on the whole truck. I like the 70,000 mile powertrain.

I asked this question to the service manager at my dealer today and he said removing the muffler and cat only affected the exhaust warranty. No other warranty was affected at all.

I was told by the service manager at my dealership that the kitty falling off wouldnt void my warranty...or at least they wouldnt raise a stink about it. The muffler already fell off of my 06 and it only had 300 miles on it! I was amazed. I regretted it when I drove 3 hours to visit family and had that drone. Maybe if it wasnt a 4.10 rear end coupled with the 6 speed then it wouldnt be so bad.

Are you sure ?
I was under the impression the 3.73 axle ratio was the only ratio available w/G56 six speed.
