Sliding Rear Windows

For those of you that have sliding rear windows on your truck, do you think it is worth the expense, have you had problems with yours, would you choose one again? Thanks.

When I had my Megacab Laramie with the sunroof and power rear slider I used both a lot. On this truck and on all my previous trucks with the manual sliders, I rarely, if ever, open it simply due to it being a pain to get to. If I had a regular cab I would probably use it all the time...

I wish I had gotten the power slider. The cheesy plastic latch on my manual slider snapped off about three years ago, and you can't just get the plastic piece from Dodge, you have to order the entire center window.

I agree with the power slider option. I can't reach mine from the front seat to open it, and it's a pain to remember to close it each time I park. It is nice to have it open with the windows open as it allows free air flow through the cab. If I do it again, I will go with the power option.

Thanks for the input. I don't need the power version, but does seem to be a lot better made. I am wondering if I can put a switch directly under the window instead of messing with the dash.

Power slider is the way to go. My switch is below the radio , I use it all the time. It creates a nice air flow.

I agree with the general consesus. I have had both manual and power rear slider. Love and use the power slider but rarely used the manual due to being a pain. Either power or none for me.

I have a regular cab and want a slider, manual would be fine. How hard are they to swap? Is the rear window glued in or just secured?

Thanks

My trucks always have the rear slider. I do wish the current one was power.

My 06 had a power slider and my 08 has a solid back glass. I miss the slider.
