shocks
shocks
Hi guys I'm in need of some new shocks on my 2008 Mega cab 6.7L. I've been looking at either Pro-Comp ES9000, skyjacker nitro 8000 or Rancho RS7044. Who has used any of these shocks and which would be better on these trucks?
I'm open to other brands as well.
Thank you JR

Bilstein 5100…just about every other shock else that fits a stock height, unmodified suspension truck is in fact a "wannabe" 5100. Now if you are talking about serious suspension upgrades for serious money, you CAN do a lot better then the 5100.
I'm running the KYB Monomax and hate them with a passion. Wish I would have stayed stock or bought the bilstiens.
I have the monroe reflex on my Jeep- not great, but decent for the price.
I'd steer clear of the Rancho's. I used to always run Rancho shocks, they used to be awesome. The last set I bought was in 2011 and ran them for 2 years on the jeep before they died (after a whopping 15k miles). Whatever factory is now making the Rancho's is terrible on quality. I'd rather pay more for OEM- they last longer.

I put the Nitro 8000 on and truck seems to ride stiff but the old shocks were totally gone. I don't mind the stiff ride as my last truck 2008 F250sd 6.4 diesel what a gush wagon, felt like driving a couch.
