Rust spots on new truck?????

on my 05, silver, which I bought new last july, I noticed pin head sized rust spots all over it today when I washed it.

I was able to rub them out (most of them, still some left), but I have never had a vehicle do this before.

I did wax it last year.

Should I have the dealership check it out? Or am I stuck with it.

Thanks

My guess is rail dust. Small particles of metal from the rails during transportation inbedded into the paint and starts to rust.
Best to use a clay bar and wax aftwards.

Rail dust shows up very quickly. Not months later. My guess would be something got on it recently.Metal(rail dust)rusts in days not weeks or months.Springle some brake dust on one and watch for a few days.

I had a white corvette that did that all the time. The lighter colors have a tendency to pick up metal particles off the road and start to rust. You have to wax it, and they'll come off. Make sure you wash it regularly, like once a week, and it won't happen. I also learned that this happens a lot of cars that use touchless car washes.

If you get your truck acid washed it will take all of those away along with any other oxidation, but if you have polished aluminum rims you can't get the acid on them it will frost them but chrome it works great on.

Metallic particles from the brake pads/dust is what I've always assumed.
