Thanks for the explanation of the relay. Maybe that's why my brother-in-laws switch melted on him. I guess I should wire in a relay.

Have you seen the ~2" projector style lights? A buddy bought them at NAPA, cored his backup lens and put them in there. Much brigther than stock.

Thanks Pauly for the link to the brackets. Does anyone know how waterproof these lights are ? I like those Hellas' . I kind of need something thats going to get submerged when launching and recovering my boat. Any ideas ?

My Hellas are not waterproof at all. Rain water and splashing isn't an issue but water will definitely infiltrate the housing if submerged. If you know they will get dunked look for a waterproof light or take measures to seal one that is not.
