I like the layout of the bottom console, where the cupholders are. That frees up more room for mounting gadgets and not being in the way of the flip out cup holder.

I wonder if that would fit in the 04.5?

I drove a 06 yesterday when I had my 05 in for service and man I love those seats more side bulsters and better fabric the seats no longer grab your close and give u a wedgy if decide to sqerm in the seat. I drives the same as our the only real change is teh slight interior and the front lights and the elimination of the 7/70 power train warranty. I like teh new changes accept teh warranty stuff but other than that its awesome.

Took a look at some '06's at my local dealer. Most of them had a fixed floor console with cup holders, but a Quab Cab 2500 Hemi with the Sprts Package still had flip down cup holders....That was the first time I saw those in an '06

Unruly,
Is that a Laramie or SLT?

General comments:
The genuine simulated artificial woodgrain looks nice....not my style. Is that included in the laramie package?

TIA

Tony

Test drove 2 '06's this afternoon.

Both Autos/SLT
1) 4wd 3500 - White w/ Nice taupe interior. Liked the deluxe seats, with the inlay in the middle. Made it look more appealing than just a solid color. Chassis seemed to shake when the engine is ideling...more than i have noticed on other test drives. Good acceleration, as you would expect.

2) 4wd 2500 - Grey w/Grey interior. Nothing overly special about it....other than the dealer installed Jake. Had to take this one for a ride! So, tried it at low speeds....as expected, not much help in auto downshift. So I tried it on a long straight with OD locked out and manually shifting....Yeah, it works well, even with no load! You even hear a little 'jake' like noise on high (>2000rpm) deceleration.

They both had the column selector:
< Tow/Haul
<< OD OFF

I'm sold....Now just have to wait for 3 months as we just refinanced. ****!

UnrulyNFS, since you're the first 2006, I wonder if you would mind removing one front door panel and one rear door panel and reporting back what size speakers are behind those grills?
Seriously how's the stereo sound? Any vibration in the door panels?

Is that storage or a flip up tray on the back of the passanger seat?

Which interior is that?

Very nice.

Personally I think the 06's look GREAT inside and out. I particularly like the fact the now have the Tow/Haul & OD OFF feature.
I guess I'll have to go to one of the dealers and test drive one and see what they can do for me
