Post your mpg from time to time. I'm curious about the 06' 610's fuel consumption i.e. average vs intersatte at 70 mph.

Thanks.

Vittorio, I just got back from vacation pulling my 28' Toyhauler. The mileage in my '06 was as follows:
Interstate: 70 MPH trailer loaded - 7.9 MPG
Highway: 60 MPH loaded - 9.0 MPG

This mileage was figured according to the overhead computer and also doing the calculator gig. I also had a chance to check my speedo/odometer at a check zone on the highway and it was right on.
Since I live on the North Olympic Peninsula, anywhere I go is there is usually a mountain involved. For those who know the area I pulled Snoqualmie Pass, White Pass, Walker Mtn. and the Columbia River Basin (Vantage). All of these except Walker Mtn. are considerable climbs in elevation.
Overall I was very impressed with the performance of the 06. There is absolutely no comparison to my junker '99. Best truck I ever bought!

I'm not crazy about the fake wood either. I did not see any without it...must be the Mercedes influence. I like the grille although the headlights seem to come a little further back on the the fenders than necessary. The shallower center storage is definitely do to the ducting to the rear seats. I was surprised by the loss of footroom in the center front seat and the harder to reach cupholder. It isn't a big consideration as it would be very seldom that somone is sitting there.
