replacing seal in steering box

The pitman arm seal took a dump on my truck and is pissing fluid out. I ordered a seal kit. Can any body tell me whats involved in chaning this seal

Mine was leaking and was covered under extended warranty.

how much for the seal kit? I was told over a $100 for the kit. Mine is seeping around the adjuster nut on top of the box.

Be careful on your diagnosis,their is also a high probability that the bushing on the steering box is also shot.What year is your truck? and do you have the after market steering stabilizer bar.I live near Steering Solutions http://www.steeringsolutions.com/ the guy their, Randy,told me the S.S.B. is an absolute must for 2nd Gen trucks,good insurance for my 06,incase you dont know it prevents premature pitman shaft/seal wear ,and steering wander due to it.
