Removing Tuff Bedliner spray???

Anyone every stripped Tuff Bedliners spray out of a truck? I am not happy with the Tuff spray and want to get a Line-X or Xtreme bedliner sprayed in my truck.

Whats the best way to remove it? The Tuff spray is the soft kind of bedliner, it isnt hard like the line-x.

Dang...

I'm guessing you'd have to sandblast it off or something...

How well is it applied?

That doesn't sound like very much fun to try to remove all of that stuff. I'd just leave it 'til it wears completely away before I was ever concerned about it.

I do spray in bedliners (similar to a Line-X) and I can tell u it won't be fun! Sandblasting won't work, it'll probably require a stiff scraper and a sore back!!

It isnt applied that well.. Thats one reason I dont like it. It rips easy, and they have a "life time warranty" which means they just goop some more on a screw driver and slope it over the holes. It looks like crap after they do it. I want to get something that wont be such a pos like this tuff liner. I am going to give it a shot on my hooks and see how hard it is to get off. Think a wire wheels on a angle grinder wowuld help any?

you might try brake fluid. i know it eats rhino liner. try sokeing a test spot.should soften it up and make it easy to get off.

Why not just cover the liner with a drop in plastic bed liner? Gotta be the best of both worlds.

Yeah, thats what I'd do. Chalk it up to a cr@ppy product and cover it with a plastic bedliner. Can't imagine trying to strip all that off.

Try a pressure washer to "get under" the liner. If the liner is applied poorly, it should come up easily this way.

So, find an area of the liner that is lifting and focus the blast in between the liner and the bed.

Good luck!

Nope. I'm 4 hours away from DFW, don't have a liner, and we don't use the T word in our house.

Here either!

To the OP. I would also try the gas or brake fluid. I know the brake fluid will eat away the Hurculiner.
