Re:registration and insurance

I'm paying $950 a year for 300K coverage in TN. I'm with Travelers, have been for years. I just went today and checked as to why it was so dang high. Agent told me that the Dodge was a symbol #20 and was actually higher in rate than a comparable Ford or Chevy. She claims that it cost more to repair. I asked her how? when it was a $10,000 dollar less expensive truck.

Tags are $28.00 a year, Jim

$900.00 every 6 months for max coverage on 2 vehicles w/$1000.00 deductible. Used to be $660.00 bi-annually two years ago. Shopped around and found PA changed insurance rates during 2003. Registration for my 2500 CTD in PA, $130.00

Re:registration and insurance

I did get good news though on my toys insurance today. When I bought the Cummins 3500 RAM I took my '80 Corvette and my "78 El Camino off of my policy. I got insurance on both of them from "Classic Collectors" The Great American Insurance Co. for stated value, full coverage, no deductable, 300k Liability with 3500 miles allowed each per year for $250. That's for both of them! I got 12K value on the 1980 53K Corvette that has a ZZ430/5 speed in it. The 1978 Elky is stock and fully restored and insured for 10K.

That's about $21 a month for them both. Jim

Down here in Louisiana where crooked politics and the state Insurance Comm. go to jail about once a year is the norm. $275.00 per month for full coverage on the Ram and the wifes Montero.

Costs me near $7000 annual for $750,000 liability, collision, and $80,000 cargo insurance all with a $1000 deductable. Costs right at $600 for tags, apportioned for 14 states. Costs $256 for single state registration for the insurance for 48 states. Another $26 for the fuel permit for 48. Course that is not the insurance most have.

I am in B.C. also and pay $1300 for the same coverage for my 98.5 But am in the interior, we don't have the other autos (BMW MERCEDES AUDI JAGS) that get bashed and drive the costs up. Isn't Surrey a very high theft area. I thought they won an award for that last year. could add to your cost.
