Rear Window Leaking

Noticed today, with all the rain we have had, my rear window is leaking from the top section, right above the rear back seat head rest (on the drivers side). (I have the rear sliding window, but that doesn't seem to have any correlation to the area that is leaking.) I wiped the water and watched and I could see it coming through the seam. From the outside it looks like the water is seeping in from behind the top rubber portion of the window. The only fix I can see is dropping the headliner and siliconing the seam from the inside. How hard is it to drop the headliner? Any ideas or comments?

Thanks,

Before dropping your headliner check the seal around your third brake light. That could easily look like rear window leaking. My 98 did.

mine was kind of stubborn when I fixed it looked like a little foam gasket. I went back with black rv silicone.

Thanks,
I had the same problem with my 06. I actually looked like the water was coming in from uner the headliner so I did not think there was anyway it was the window. I assumed it was the third brake light or factory satellite antenna. Turned out it was the rear window seal. I had the dealer repair it under warranty. I think all they did was put black silicone on the seal but it does not leak any more. When I first went back, they thought third brake light too but it was not. They ended up replacing the seat cover as well since it spotted with the water.

I have the same leaking issue. Just noticed it this weekend after a big rain. This sounds like a warranty issue for sure if others are having the same problem.
