Rear center slider window latch broke

On my Dodge 2003, RAM 3500 the rear slider center panel window latch broke and the dealer said it was only available if I replaced the entire slider window. Has anyone replaced the small plastic latch successfully without replacing the glass piece ?

thanks,

steve

Mine too

Mines broke too!! I ran into the same problem with the dealer and getting a latch, it has been broke for a couple of years now so if anyone has figured out a solution I'd be interested also.

epoxy seems to work great on keeping it shut forever

I had mine replaced by the dealer under warranty. They replaced the slider part of the window, not the whole window. Don't know how they did it. I have a camper so I know the entire window wasn't replaced. Go to a friendly 5 star dealer and ask a tech how they do it.

I know, I'm so pi**** off about my dash cracking everywhere. I've got a friend writing everyone at DODGE about his 03 dash, we'll see if he gets anywhere

I wrote a letter to Dodge about my passenger side entry handle breaking and hitting my mom in the eye.

I GOT A PHONE CALL SAYING "WE ARE LOOKING INTO TO THIS; THANKS FOR LETTING US KNOW".

That was 6 months ago and still nothing.

Good luck.

Didnt mean to skew the thread. I mean all we use our truck for is pulling our trailer (71,000 miles so far) and I have been totally happy (and problem free) with the truck but keep waiting for my LP to go along with all the other things. Now I find people with the rear window problem. Oh well, I still like it.
