how do i get the damned inner hubcap thing off? i tryed prying it off with a flathead screw driver... and i tryed hitting it off with a rubber mallet from the inner side of the wheel... it feels like everything im trying is gonna break it..i kept whacking it with a mallet and it feels like its gonna bend it or something... there has to be something im not doing right.. or i just need to go a little further.. just need a lil peace of mind

I use a phillips screwdriver that I have slid a rubber hose over to pry the caps off.

I just use the factory lug wrench, and insert the wedge part between the wheel and the simulator, and pry it out about 1/4 of an inch, and move over about 3 inches and do it again and so on, you will hear the clips coming undone. The simulator usually pops off on the third pry for me. They are held on with friction clips around the edge of the simulator, so just work your way around it and mine pop right off. Hope this helps
