radio removal

radio removal

i was wondering the best way to remove the radio with out breaking anything. lol
i just got xm radio and i want to hard wire it.

there are 2 screws under the bezel right above the cupholders, then the whole thing it just help in with friction clips. just grab it at the top and start to pry!

Actually there are a couple screws per piece of the dash that you have to remove. As you remove each piece you will find the screws holding the next one in. When you get to the bezel, there are supposed to be two screws holding it on at the bottom. You remove those and then pry the bezel from the dash. The radio is simple to remove after that. I have worked on a couple trucks that did not have the bezel screws in them and then it's really simple to get that radio out because all you do is pry the bezel out without having to remove anything else....
