Questions about an 07 2500
Looking at getting a 07 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 (dont want the 6.7) and auto. Did Dodge fix some of the problems this year compared to 04-06 trucks ? For instance, the ac problems, cracking dashes and auto. trans issues ? Thanks for any advice, before i buy this truck.

I love mine but have had a few issues. 2nd gear went out and the clutch broke off the a/c compressor so I had to replace it. No dash problems yet (knock on wood)

I have owned a 2007 5.9 and traded it for my current sig truck for a 4x4 and the mega cab. Drove both for a year now and the only difference I can find are the seats. These 06 seats are the worst but everything else is truly the same, love these trucks. I would say get it and join the club. I plan on getting new seats for this beast and it will be perfect.

The SLT seats suck, the Laramie ones are ok like in my truck.
You can repad them though to make them comfy I've read. Didn't want to mess with it so I bought a Laramie. When test driving them I almost walked out of the dealer to a Ford dealer after driving an SLT, seats were just harsh. Maybe I just got a bad SLT and good laramie seat experience but this was my take.
Over 5 years and my dash is fine and still looks new, the interior is very basic.
Valve body in the transmission really wakes up the truck, I did it stock and really woke the truck up, performed much better. Did it at the time the fluid was due to be changed and I think I paid around $400. A couple years later I had to do the GM silinoid upgrade in the transmission (to keep it from searching/jumping/hangin) and it was like $175, lucky for me I was almost due for a fluid change so it was kind of a wash.

Rednecktastic, I see you went with a Relentless Valve body, is that a complete aftermarket valve body or just a upgraded stock valve body ? Did you get the solenoid from the same place ?

Love mine...original owner with 94K on the ticker. Only issues have been #4 injector line failure (Get a spare to ride in the truck). Just now replaceing the ball joints, etc..., but no real issues that would be worthy of complaining. I agree with Rednecktastic though...compared to the Duracraps and Powerjoke interiors, Dodge really struck out on interior design on the SLT.
EXCEPT for the cheap, piece of (I'll edit myself), "foe Chrome" that they have on the front grill trim. Mine has spider webbed into a complete mess. This is not an 07' problem mind you. But I know 6 guys with Dodge Rams in the local area and 3 of us have this issue.
I digress....Yes, I love my truck. Sometimes I just get a little frustrated that my Cummins is tied to a Dodge!

Cstewart, totally agree on the Dodge interior. They have always sucked, the only reason i would buy one is the Cummins, period. I like the new Dodges as far as interior, much better than 3rd gen. Just hate to get all the pollution stuff that comes with the 6.7 engine.
