question for the dealership guys

I finally was able to locate a leftover 05 dually to match my 3/4T. The dealer tells me there are no rebates available for an 05 truck, 6 months ago when I got my 05 3/4T I got 5k in rebates. Is this correct? He says best be can do is 100$ over invoice with NO rebates at all. I paid him the same price but got the rebates 6 months ago. Also I need someone to run a vin for me and tell me all the options it has on it, he cant seem to remember to get it done. Thanks in advance.

If it's in his inventory, try going to www.dodge.com and look at his inventory.
However, they don't always post all the information. Good luck.

They are correct in that there are no rebates left on the 05's. If you pm me your vin and a fax number I will run the options list for you.

TravisT,
Thanks for the response, I will let you know as soon as the guy calls me back. It seems that I'm going to have a tough time finding one of these guys, and maybe a harder time affording one. Might have to jump ship.

Wait a minute here....

You are talking directly to the dealer who has it on his lot and he cannot pull the build sheet and tell you what options it has?

That's absurd! He is in the business of selling vehicles and at the very least should know what he has available.

Sorry man, but if that were me I would be walking away and not thinking twice about it.

He is right, no consumer cash(a.k.a. rebates) but the 05' ram diesels do have $3500 dealer cash. Which means if he sells it they pay him the $3500. I don't know what that particular dealer is doing butif it were me I'd give you the truck at cost and give you all the dealer cash to get rid of a truck that old. By now they have made him pay it off on the floorplan and it is his hard earned money tied up in that truck, so I'd think he'd be a motivated seller, I would be at least.

From what I understand, the truck is not on their lot. He found one at another dealer close by. I cannot find any available around here or elsewhere that are DRW trucks AND SLT or better trucks. I was told yesterday morning that he would call me right back, still no word. Maybe they dont want to sell the truck after all. Another dealer I called told me about the dealer cash and hinted that maybe I should ask for that as well. I told the dealer to call me back with his best price and have not heard from him, maybe today. Thanks for everyones help.
