Pics

OK, I only have a few minutes to get a few pics up, but here they are. I included one of all of "the guys", a few while checking headlamp alignment and fitment, fender fitment, body lines, etc. Unfortunately one piece of bad news - the snorkel is not going to work out. The curvature of the fiberglass fenders just won't allow proper mounting of the body of the snorkel. Too bad, because I thought it was going to be the icing on the cake. Guess we'll have to fab that, too! LOL.

Hope you all like!! Oh, and she drives great! No rubbing at full lock with 37x13.5s! Can't wait for the suspension!

Wow, she looks great!! Really good!

On the snorkel, is it a plastic? Any chance of gently heating and molding it to fit the curve of the fender?

So she has been dropped off! I spent a few hours disassembling the truck at the dealer after driving it there. Kinda funny...3 months to build those parts...2 hours to take it all apart.

Supposed to be finished Saturday...I will probably pick it up Monday. Will post progress pics as able. Stay tuned!

Electric blue metallic. Factory color in 2007. I'm using Tuxedo black metallic for the bumpers, bedrails, and tiregate. It's a factory 2010 Ford color. Basically jet black with a subtle kick to it. Because I'm doing the Line-X Xtra on the entire truck, you can colormatch any factory code. Pretty cool stuff!!

That makes 2 of us! The shop that's doing the work (Line-X of Arlington) is taking a series of in-progress pics that they will give me when the truck is finished. Pretty cool stuff.

So far the bumpers, tiregate, bedrails/frame, underbed, and fenderwells are done. What's left are the door jambs and outer surfaces of the truck. Basically they did all of the difficult-to-reach areas first, including taking the bed off and doing the bottom of it. Should be near bomb-proof when we are done!!

I am afraid to ask what they are charging you especially since they are going into such detail.

Not as bad as you'd think! Basically the same as if I was repainting the entire truck with regular paint. That's the amazing part...
