On a separate note, I think he mumbled the word "diesel" while he was falling asleep with me today! Smart kid .
I'm glad to hear that he is bouncing back. My little one (3 years old) got very sick loke that last year to the point that his fingernails and lips looked blue. Between the low oxygen levels and the fact that he was dehydrated made for a very sick little boy. It is amazing how quick they can come out of something like that.

So the little one is home, and now looks like he was never ill at all. Amazing how they recover so quickly. My family thanks you all for the thoughts and prayers you sent... I really owe you guys.

Project updates coming soon...

I'm back! ...and new parts arriving!!

I'm back! Things have been crazy for the last few weeks, so I apologize for the lack of updates. After the baby issues stabilized, I needed to get our fence built at our house (a project that has been on hold for a long time...and one I promised my wife a long time ago), so I've spent the last week welding up our fence. As you might have guessed, it is fully welded pipe steel, stout, and will outlast the house

So, what have I ordered for the truck recently??
1. At Noah's (my son's) request - honestly! - we ordered a SNORKEL air intake! Just received it from Expeditioneers.com in Arizona. Kurt is a great guy to deal with and the product is outstanding! It puts the air intake up high near the top of the cab - now that will be a REAL cool air intake!

2. Ordered the exhaust system - Magnaflow Off-road Pro series. It's all stainless, but most importantly, it dumps out in front of the rear axle (perfect for this application), and is a turbo-back system. I'm adding a MBRP resonator in front of the muffler for drone-prevention. The nice thing is that this Magnaflow system only runs about $350 because you aren't paying for polished tips and mufflers and other junk like that. Same stainless, same tubing, same muffler and tone. Just half the price

So, check back often! We will post pics as soon as able! More fun stuff to come!!

Adam, I was just wondering about you yesterday. I'm glad to hear all is well. When you post a few pics of your project, you ought to include a couple of your new son and the fence too!

Will do, Evan! It's a drastic change suddenly switching from gas-shielded MIG welding on the truck to flux-core wire-welding on rusty old oilfield pipe! Lol! Makes one really appreciate the former!

We're baaaack!

Not much time to chat given the fact that I just got home from work, it's 5am, and I'm falling asleep, but I wanted to post a few pics of Noah and I installing the exhaust today. I'm going to make a minor fitment adjustment tomorrow to increase ground clearance, but otherwise it's nice.

We used a Magnaflow Race setup (dumps the exhaust in front of the rear axle and has no polished pieces, but is still the same muffler and stainless tubing), and added a MBRP resonator in the extension pipe where the cat used to be. Great sound, no drone

Here's a few pics of Noah tightening the clamp at the turbo downpipe and helping me in general. More progress soon! Thanks for your patience!

And at your request, the fence I built that delayed my updates the last 2 weeks :

FYI,
If you put the link to ea pic into the popup box when you click the "insert image" icon your pics will show up in the post as opposed to having to click each link.

Ahh! Thanks! Will do from now on! When I started using my own server at home to host the pics, I kinda forgot details like that. I was just trying to make sure it worked and was reliable to serve the pics . I've mistakenly been using the 'insert link' button instead of the 'insert image' button. Thanks for the pointer!

I changed the last post to IMG links instead of URL links. Lets see how that works Thanks for the tip. Brain fart on my behalf...
