On 1-30-04 we were on a camping trip. Got to a busy intersection & noticed lack of brakes and power steering. Put on trailer brakes all the way & stopped. Found hose from back of pump to brake booster leaking. Tried to tighten on side of road , but couldnt fix it. Any way we limped in to the nearest dodge dealer. The mechanic came out & said probably aluminum part of hose cracked. He said he saw a couple of trucks do this.my truck had 43k miles on it, so no warranty. $ 185.47 later , I happily left the dealership! Any one else have their p.s hose crack like this?

 

Yup -

My ps hose went out with about 9000 miles!!

Don't know if it cracked or what - The ps box was covered with oil so I just brought it in for service; they said the hose was bad & replaced it.

Ok now.
