Power Seat Conversion
Power Seat Conversion
I have a SLT 04 with manual seats. What will it take to make the drivers side seat a power seat?
Can i just buy a power base from dodge and bolt it in, if so where is the pulp to plug it in? or does it just need 12 volts?

Pretty much all you need is the 12v and ground. All of the controls are in the seat. There is probably 2 empty terminals for the wiring in the fuse box. Has to be about 12 GA wiring though, they can pull a lot of amps. Also I think they run it on a circuit breaker instead of a fuse.
Since you guys are on the seat topic, see if you can help me out. This is what I E-mailed New Dodge Parts to see what they have to say.
"See if you can help me out here. I bought a set of leather seat that are out of a 2007 Dodge Ram Laramie. They are heated and power on both the drivers side and pasenger. I would like to install these in my 2006 Ram that came with cloth seats and power only on the drivers side and no heat. The cab harness on my 2006 Ram that plugs into the seat harness is different than the 2007 leather seat harness. Will I have to replace the whole cab harness with a 2007 harness, or could I just order a under seat harness for a truck that came with leather power and heated driver and passenger seats in 2006. I will also need to install the switches in the dash that would actiate the heat option once the new seats are installed. I have pulled the radio bezel off and there are 2 or 3 plugs that are not going to anything. I would think these are for the heated seat switches and for power sliding rear window if my truck had these options. If you could do some research and get back to me that with some part numbers that would be great. I will also need the switches and swith plate with out sliding rear window. I can't get my local Dodge dealer to help me."
Thanks Adam
