Okay, the driver's seat in my truck (1998.5) is all locked up. When you try to adjust it, they (electrical motors) just clunk once and dont move.....Does it need new motors? If so, where do I get them?

I assume the seat moves front to rear. The tilt motors on mine jam if you run them to the limits-I used vice grips on the shaft and turned it a few times and then they will work-IF you dont hit the stops again

If they are shot-a junk yard or dealer may have them( or a other vendor if available)

 

I've heard the dealer doesn't sell the motors separately, you have to buy the whole dang seat.
I'm sure once the motors are removed it would be easy to cross them to some inexpensive generic motors.

 

I had mine rebuilt at a shop that does starters and alternators and it cost about $20 and the new seat bottom from the dealer was around $800 or so.
