Poor seat heaters... need circuit diagram

Hello all,

does anyone have the wiring diagram for the seat heaters handy. I'd like to see if I can modify the heater output, but i need the diagram.

Thanks,

Looking at the diagram, I suspect the control module would go into fault mode if you changed anything in the temp probe...

I have the paper manual, so I can't send the diagram.

How so? I'm just lookin to fool the module which recieves input from the temp sensor. Just need to know where all the circuitry is so i can cetermine if it's worth the trouble. I figure a 10 - 15% increase in output would be nice.

Thanks anyway!

Well, it looks like pin 3 on the control module is the passenger heat sensor input, and pin 5 is driver's side.

Tan/dark blue and tan/lt blue respectively.

The control module is apparently pretty complex. Input from the switches is resister multiplexed, and it apparently self diagnoses bad input from temp sensors or open circuit or short with heaters...

It shows High light off and low light flashing to indicate temp sensor out of range.

It apparently supplies 5v to one side of the sensor and monitors voltage on the other side.

I can't find where it says how many ohms should normally be there... I suppose a person could take a reading, then jump in a resister and see what happens.

Let me know if you get something to work. I'd like mine to be warmer, too.

Hopefully there is someone in your neck of the woods that can let you look at the manual.

Here is a link to the wiring diagrams for the 2004/2005 model years. It will want you to download a .zip file that contains the diagram.
