Poor Man's Brightbox?

Has anyone on here successfully jimmy's up an electrical thingy which would accomplish the same thing as a Brightbox? That is, the ability to have both the low beams and high beams on at the same time, without overloading the stock electrical wiring/circuits?

There is a mod to do that by hooking two wires together down under the steering column. I did it and it worked until I put a relay wiring harness on my lights and then I didn't need it. Not sure which wires they were without researching it. Do some searching and you may find some threads on it still.

your better off doing a relay mod, light output can be improved as much as 40% by doing this, factory wiring is too small as it is,

read thru this link, then dig around on his site you will find lots of valuable light related info

The circuit will work for both types.

What's not shown in the drawing is load resistors tied to the low and high beam at the FCM. Without the load resistors the FCM will trip the lights out indicator and shut down the circuit.
