Panic Alarm

Boy I hate these things!
Shut of engine stepped out and accidentally pushed the panic button while putting the keys into my pocket. Arggggg. Horns, flashing lightss.. Red face.

So how do you turn off the panic alarm? this is what I tried with no success:

-Pushed Panic button again.
-Pushed lock, then unlock on key fob.
-Inserted key in door and locked and unlocked manually.
-Opened door and inserted key in ignition, turned on, then off.
-Inserted key in ignition and started the truck. Runs fine, still alarming.

-grabbed manual and began reading. No help there.
-Hid from irritated neighbors, that helped somewhat.
-Asked my wife to quickly Google the alarm. Nothing really that pertained to panic alarm other than how to permanently disable it in fob.

Suddenly, it stops after an eternity (well 5-10 minutes).

How do you make it stop? What combination of scratching your head and pulling your ear makes it quit?

Rocky

RULE# 1: Do not panic

Using the Panic Alarm

To activate the Panic mode while the ignition is OFF press
and release the PANIC button on the transmitter once.
When the Panic mode is activated, the interior lights will
illuminate, the headlamps and parking lights will flash,
and the horn will sound. * But you know how to operate this already *

To cancel the Panic mode press and release the PANIC
button on the transmitter a second time.
Panic mode will
automatically cancel after 3 minutes or if the vehicle is
started and exceeds 15 mph. During the Panic Mode, the
door locks and remote keyless entry systems will function
normally. Panic mode will not disarm the security
system on vehicles so equipped.

Thanks Dr.
Somehow backing out of my driveway and driving around the corner to reach 15 mph sounds like a great way to subject a few more neighbors to my noisy light show. Good to know it has a way to shut it off though. thanks again.

When I accidentally set mine off I just press the panic button again and it always stops.
