Electrical problem

Since my "no horn" got "no posts", I'll try this a different way.

Yes, the horn does not work, no matter how hard I push on that sort of soft center of the steering wheel.

Also, high idle no longer works either - that is the grounded pin #22 on the ECM and using my cruise control button.

But...the cruise button illuminates "cruise" on the dash panel and cruise control works fine on the highway.

When I checked the horn fuse (#45), it was blown. When I replaced it with a fresh fuse, still no horn.

Worse yet, having the new fuse in there totally flattened both batteries over the next two days.

So now the horn is defused, and the truck is on the charger and I'm somewhat mystified.

Sounds like you have a short on that circuit. I'd find out what all is on that curcuit and start checking things.............

Was afraid of that. Beyond my ability to fix.

Dealer time, I guess.
