Paint is bubbling

I was washing my truck the other day and noticed two small bubbles in the paint on the box just above the wheel well. they were about the size of a pencil eraser. Has anyone else had this problem?? I hope it isn't rust starting to pop up.

same deal on my 04 3500 short box, bubbles above the wheel well.had a body shop sand it out and found 6 or more small rust holes completely thru...seems dodge drilled 4 5/8 holes in the inner brace so salt/sand could sit and eat away at the metal...stupidest thing i ever saw...only chrysler told me to pound sand even tho they have a 5 year rust warranty...not happy 3 1/2 year old truck rusting out,,b.s..grrr!

yup.. had that problem as well on my '04. Dealer covered it under the warranty and replaced the entire panel. I thought they were just going to paint it. Chrysler/Dodge did make the process difficult though. The truck only has 37k miles.

Just because it`s not covered under warranty doesn`t mean you it can`t be fixed BEFORE it "rusts out". It`ll be a lot less money to fix a paint problem now , compared to a rust problem later on.
