so i went to get a inspection sticker on my truck and they said that i need a emission test ,,,wheni got my 06 they didnt have to ,,,,so my question is if i get a aftermarket exhaust ,,or i do a muffler delete will i still pass emissions???

 

Where in NY are you located? Are you in southern NY where the emmissions testing is more strict?
I'll be interested to know if a lack of a kitty will be an instant fail or not. I guess it all depends on the shop and if they actually look under the truck or not. I would say a cat-back or muffler delete would not cause any problems.

 

im in long island and my exhaust is stock at the moment ,,but i was gunna do a exhaust ,,or muffler delete now im wondering after i do it will i pass ???

 

My 03 did not come with a CAT. My truck passed no problem on Long Island with a muffler delete.

 

i am in western new york- this year was the first for me- but it was not an emission test-per se. they hooked the cable up to my obd port under the dash. i questioned it because i had my edge juice on. i also have an aftermarket exhaust. did not have a problem.

 

Upstate Albany area and I just had it inspected at the dealer no more than ~6 months ago. This SO had the cat delete from the factory though...
So I figure that a turbo back system should be no issue...
