No Trailer Brake Controller Plug
No Trailer Brake Controller Plug
Boy, it must have been a bad day in Missouri when they built my new truck. First, the speed control (cruise) doesn't work at all driving home from the dealer. Then, while I'm poking around under the dash to see if there are any unplugged wires that relate to the cruise, I notice there's no blue trailer brake connector plug anywhere! I have the trailer tow package, but can't find the plug. I've had four Dodge diesels and have had no problem locating the blue plug before. It's not taped up, not hanging down - it's nowhere.
Is there somewhere else on the '06 trucks I should look for this plug besides between the column and the E-brake?
I'm thinking I may have bought a lemon.

I even unclipped the main connector mess there by the E-brake and pulled it down, turned it around and looked everywhere. There's nothing taped up there at all.
I was hoping that what you said was the case, but I'm coming to the conclusion they forgot that part of the harness during assembly.
I had a hard time finding mine too. It was directly behind the big wire harness so i couldn't see it at all. Once I found it, I clipped it into an empty slot next to the other harness. I don't know why it wasn't there to start with, maybe they just forgot.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Ramstang and Campnfish -
I found it. It was taped WAY up the main harness, up high behind the dash, away from the main connector where they've always been before. It's so far up I'm having trouble cutting the tape to get at it.
Thanks!
