Parking Brake Failure
Greetings folks, just got home from work, put the truck in park, and hit the ebrake like normal, and the pedal went all the way to the .....
The ebrake worked fine when I got to work this morning, and the service brakes seem to be working fine.
It's raining here, so I have not looked at the truck yet. Has anyone had this happen ?
The problem is that I am scheduled to leave on vacation on Saturday, and will be hauling 6 motorcycles on a trailer with no brakes..... I will contact the dealer tomorrow, but they are always a week of 2 out...
Feels like a cable went.... Very little resistance on the pedal....

Park brake are independent of service brakes. Hat in rotor style. You have an auto so you can go on your trip. Just be careful that you put it ALL the way into park and don't let it idle without you in the cab.

I assume you tried applying the e-brake more than once resulting in the same failed outcome? If so, then it sounds like one of your e-brake cables has come out of its holder or one of them has broken. There are 4 cables. One from each rear wheel. One intermediate cable. One cable up to the e-brake pedal. Check each connection.
The e-brakes have their own brake shoes inside the rear disc brake calipers. They are independent of your normal (service) brakes.
Let us know what you find.
