Brake controller plug in and other questions

Hey Folks,

This is my first post here. I did a search and found a few answers but need to verify a few things.

First off, I just bought my first Cummins Dodge yesterday.

2004 Single cab Dually I will use to pull a 11,800 pound trailer almost daily.

It does have a factory tow package with 4:10 gears and the manual 6 speed.

I have already put over 500 miles on the truck and love it so far. Traded in a 03 6.0 ford Powerstroke and will never ever buy another Ford product.

On to my question.

Is the factory Brake controller plug the blue one right next to the clutch near the wire bundle?

Does Dodge sell the harness? Or do I need to buy it from a vendor?

I currently use a Reese brake controller but will be switching to a Prodigy... I can not afford a Brakesmart and do not want a Jordon.

Any recommendations or things to look out for in this truck that I base my living on?

Thanks

Stacey

Yes it is the blue plug. You can get a harness for the Prodigy that plugs right into the truck and the brake controller. Its like $12 and idiot proof.

I got he plug for like $10.00 after haggling with the rv dealer... The progidy and my hitch all installed today.... Ran around a bit on a test run... and was very pleased with everything....

Looking forward to getting on the interstate more and stretching it out a bit...
