New to me
Just bought an '03 2500 4x4 quad cab long box laramie with 47re 18,000 miles
I'm new to the 3rd gen world so I'm wondering if there are any known faults or idiosyncrosies with these trucks.

The main one with this year truck is the lift pump on the back of the fuel filter housing. They don't last long with mods becasue they have to pull the full all the way from the tank rather than push like the 05 and above with in-tank pumps. The Trans are also a weak link for power upgrades. Most people upgrade to a least a torque convertor and valvebody at least. Mainly just keep maintenace up such as fuel filter changes in the CR motor and put some miles on this truck, but good find with low miles.
i have seen a TON of 03's with injector issues. but you look like you are still under warranty (how the miles are that low, I dont understand) so if you start having issues, take it right in and have everything replaced.
yep the injectors are bad, i had all six replaced and 10 thousand miles later its in the shop now with atleast three gone bad again, maybe more whn they get them all pulled. And the lift pumps are very weak also.Nice find with so little miles though.
